From heritage to scale: EHP celebrates 25 years and inaugurates its new factory
On 26 June 2026, EHP celebrated a major milestone in its history: 25 years of innovation, industrial development and contribution to the space industry. On this occasion, EHP also officially inaugurated its new industrial facilities in Nivelles, Belgium, marking an important step in the company’s continued growth.
A milestone event for EHP and its partners
The event brought together customers, suppliers, shareholders, institutional representatives and local partners to celebrate both EHP’s journey and its future ambitions.
More than an anniversary celebration, this gathering was an opportunity to highlight EHP’s role within the Walloon and European space ecosystem, and to reaffirm the strategic importance of specialized industrial players in supporting the next generation of space programmes.

25 years of space heritage
Founded in 2001, EHP has grown from a specialized heat pipe company into a recognized player in space thermal control and mechanical systems.
Over the years, the company has developed, qualified and manufactured a wide range of thermal and mechanical products for spacecraft, including heat pipes, loop heat pipes, thermal systems, deployable radiators and deployable mechanisms.
Today, EHP products are flying on spacecraft across Europe, North America and Asia, supporting a broad range of missions — from satellite constellations to science and exploration programmes.
This heritage reflects not only EHP’s technical know-how, but also the trust built over many years with customers, partners and institutional stakeholders.
A new factory to support industrial scale-up
The inauguration of the new facilities in Nivelles is more than an expansion of EHP’s footprint. It is a strong industrial statement.
With 10,000 m² of facilities, including 2,000 m² of clean rooms, EHP is strengthening its ability to design, manufacture, assemble, integrate, inspect and test space hardware in-house.
The new factory will support EHP’s ambition to further reinforce its industrial excellence and to continue serving customers worldwide with high-quality, space-qualified products and systems.

Official recognition from institutional representatives
The official ceremony was marked by contributions from key institutional representatives, reflecting the strategic importance of EHP’s development for the local, regional and national ecosystem.
Vanessa Matz, Minister responsible for Science Policy, at Federal Belgian level, shared an official message underlining the importance of scientific policy and Belgium’s role within the European space ecosystem.
Adrien Dolimont, Minister-President of Wallonia, addressed the role of advanced technology companies in strengthening Wallonia’s industrial base.
Bernard De Ro, Mayor of Nivelles, highlighted EHP’s strong local roots, its contribution to qualified employment and the visibility it brings to the city of Nivelles.
These institutional contributions reinforced the broader significance of the event: EHP’s growth is not only a company milestone, but also part of a wider industrial, regional and European ambition.
Discussing the future of space industrialization
The event also included a high-level panel discussion on the theme:
“Satellite constellations and the industrialization of space: can Europe scale up?”
The discussion highlighted the transformation currently shaping the space industry, as satellite constellations are driving new expectations in terms of production scale, reliability, supply chain resilience and European industrial capabilities.

Acknowledging the support of a strong ecosystem
EHP would like to warmly thank all those who have supported its development and contributed to this milestone: BELSPO and Vanessa Matz in particular, the Walloon Region and Adrien Dolimont in particular, the City of Nivelles and Bernard De Ro in particular, as well as La Défense, Skywin, inBW, our shareholders Airbus Defence and Space and Wallonie Entreprendre, ESA, GIWAS, AWEX, and our academic, university and research partners. Thank you!

We also extend our sincere thanks to our customers for their continued trust, and above all to the entire EHP team, whose commitment, expertise and dedication have made this journey possible.
Looking ahead
This 25th anniversary is therefore not only a celebration of the past. It is also a signal for the future.
EHP enters its next chapter with renewed ambition: to continue supporting its customers worldwide, to strengthen its industrial excellence, and to help make space a universe of possibilities for everyone.
