EHP (Euro Heat Pipes SA) announces the launch of a strategic industrial cooperation with Safran Aero Boosters (SAB) that starts with Ariane 6 production activities in 2026 and is designed to support a broader industrial roadmap in the years ahead, including future work on Prometheus.
The two companies signed an agreement to formalize the subcontracting by Safran Aero Boosters of selected production activities to EHP, starting from 2026. The scope covers several Ariane 6 valve references and a wide range of activities from assembly to environmental testing, to be carried out at EHP’s brand-new site in Nivelles.
Together, both companies aim to strengthen industrial capacity, enhance operational excellence, and boost the competitiveness of European space programs — contributing to Europe’s autonomy in access to space while supporting the accelerating ramp-up of Ariane 6.

The components at the heart of this collaboration — critical propulsion valves — play a key role in the operational success and reliability of each launch. These high-performance components are subject to particularly stringent industrial requirements, including strict cleanliness standards, demanding quality processes, and precise assembly and testing conditions, reflecting the overall level of excellence required for space propulsion systems.
This cooperation combines the complementary strengths of two Belgian industrial actors. Among its numerous activities, Safran Aero Boosters designs, develops and produces sub-systems and equipment for space engines. EHP designs, develops and produces thermal & mechanical systems for aerospace, with a focus on series recurrent production.
By launching this cooperation, Euro Heat Pipes is sending a clear signal: we intend to build a durable industrial relationship capable of supporting Ariane 6 today and future European propulsion programs tomorrow.
